Just lovely…Perfect for relaxing break

Alegria Villas are just lovely and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good quality stay in Zakynthos.

Susan and I stayed in one of the lovely two bedroomed apartments in the main Villa. The apartment is spacious and well decorated with rustic charm, all the facilities you need and plenty of room. The aircon was very effective. Plenty of linen, towels, beach towels. Kitchen well equipped with the basics. Daily cleaners to make sure it's always clean and tidy. Two veranda's to sit on. There was a lovely pool for use, which was quiet too and great for a dip after the beach.

We walked two minutes to the local beach each day which is a beach of two halves - one quiet and the other busier with water sports and a bar.

Vasilikos is very much old style Greek island village, tavernas, and hotels dotted around but nothing too in your face and nothing like Laganas and Kalamaki which are to be avoided ! We really rated taverna Mesala in the village...

The Villas are owned and managed by Dimitri and Lea (excuse spelling) and they were lovely, friendly, helpful and great for local advice.

We hired a car which was great for whizzing around...zakynthos town, Keri, Bocalis, etc. Really recommended.

Timing wise, we came in the third week of September and that's a great time if you want out of season, but daily great temperatures and lovely warm sea!
